Born in 1865 in Khairabad, Iftikhar Hussain is known by his pen name Muztar Khairabadi. He was the grandson of Fazl e Haq Khairabadi who was also a poet, a religious scholar and a freedom fighter. He was the father of poet and lyricist Jaan Nisar Akhtar and grandfather of Javed Akhtar. This is a compilation of his poetry in Urdu script.
