The Fuss about Queens and Other Stories by Darius Cooper - Om Books

About the Book :The Fuss About Queens and Other Stories takes the reader through the charming world of the Parsis in Mumbai who live in a cultural and historical time warp in which the fire temple, the agiary, the tower of silence are enriched with tomes of Dostoevsky, period furniture and the British monarchs portrait in the drawing room. Each story is a brilliant and moving portrayal of the unbearable lightness of the human condition.

About the Author :Darius Cooper was born in Pune and got his first Master’s in Literature and Aesthetics from Bombay University. He taught at the SIES College in Sion, Bombay, from 1972 to 1979. In 1980, he left for the US on a scholarship to pursue further studies at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In 1982, he got a second Master’s degree in English from USC and in 1989 he got a PhD in Literature and Film from USC. He currently resides and teaches Critical Thinking, Humanities and Film in the English Department of San Diego Mesa College.
