Foxtail millets is also known as Setaria Italica in the scientific community is a plant grown annually for human consumption. It is the second most popular kind of millet and the most widely grown kind in Asia. the plant is slender and leafy in appearance and grows to a height of 120cms. The seeds are enclosed within a pulpy cover which is exposed in mild threshing.
